Types of Breakdown cover
There are different types of breakdown covers available. You need to choose from what suits your needs the best. Some of the types are -

1. Roadside rescue
This is the most basic of breakdown covers, which will get your car moving on the roadside if it breaks down. This type of policy typically does not cover breakdowns with a specified radius from home or just outside your home.

2. Roadside and home rescue policy
This is the policy that will cover breakdowns in case they happen at or near your home. It will also cover the cost of having your car towed to a nearest garage.

3. Roadside rescue and recovery plus
This is the most comprehensive of breakdown covers that is a combined package of all the benefits of roadside rescue and home rescue. This may also include use of a courtesy car for continuation of journey. Sometimes you may be paid for accommodation in a local hotel while waiting for completion of repair work.
